Het Banket creates a re-translated and more universal text for the performance Opbrouck & Brahms, which transcends faith and puts the human being even more at the forefront. An even more human requiem.

In the original text of the requiem, we read about transformations: grain becomes harvest, leaves wither and become earth, man leaves his earthly body and merges into an afterlife,...

The Banquet continues on this main theme, but rewrites the original text. The new text adaptation takes a lot of motifs from the Biblical original, but puts them in a broader perspective so that a very wide audience can identify with them.
