Ten years ago, the Flemish choral world bade farewell to a true pioneer, Vic Nees (1936-2013). An ardent champion of innovative choral music and a gifted composer, conductor and educator, his legacy left a profound impression.

This decade after his death, the Flemish Radio Choir and Koor & Stem are seizing the opportunity to honour Nees in a special way. The In Memoriam concert series includes not only Nees' own compositions and the work of young composers, but also an exciting fusion with amateur choirs.
