Coaching Ravekoor

Radio choir mezzo-soprano Eva Goudie-Falckenbach coaches the Rave Choir

18.09.2025
This Sunday, Vlaams Radiokoor-alt Eva Goudie-Falckenbach heads to the church on St Gilles forecourt for voice coaching with the Brussels Rave choir. Every week, the young choir gathers there to sing together.

The Ravekoor is anything but average: "We are atypical compared to other choirs because we also sing during street events, or at 5 a.m. in nightclubs," says founder Thomas Bogaert. What they sing is very diverse: "Our repertoire ranges from Bach to own compositions and a lot of improvisation," adds founder Mien Heyvaert. Their unconventional and inspiring approach is a powerful example, and a nice reminder of the connecting power of music.

With the Atelier programme, the Flemish Radio Choir aims to reach singers of all ages and backgrounds. Through workshops and masterclasses, coaching and residencies, collective singing and open rehearsals, we seek to strengthen voices and explore new musical horizons together.
