After studying Musicology at the Sorbonne University, Sébastien Droy entered the Paris National Conservatory in the class of Mireille Alcantara and graduated with distinctions in 2003. He started his career with the Mozart repertoire: Ottavio from Don Giovanni (Tours, Monte-Carlo, Antibes), Ferrando from Cosí fan Tutte (Saint-Etienne, Beaune, Strasbourg, Angers), Idamante from Idomeneo (Strasbourg, Lyon), Belmonte from Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Saint-Etienne, Metz), Tamino from Die Zauberflöte (Saint-Etienne, Marseille, Metz, Bordeaux, Strasbourg) and Agenore from Il Re Pastore (Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Innsbrück).

In the concert field, he sang Bach’s B Mass and Saint John’s Passion, Buxtehude and Telemann Cantatas, Haendel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem and C Mass, Dvorak’s D Mass, Schumann’s E flat Mass, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle and Messa di Gloria, Martini's Requiem, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Berlioz’s L'Enfance du Christ, Messe Solennelle, La Damnation de Faust and La Grande Messe des Morts, Britten’s Illuminations.

He sang under the baton of such conductors as Kurt Masur, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Michel Plasson, Marc Minkowski, Christophe Rousset, Jérémie Rhorer, Hervé Niquet, François-Xavier Roth, Jean-Claude Malgoire, John Nelson, Serge Baudo, Michel Corboz, Iván Fischer, Ivor Bolton…He regularly performs in recitals (melodies and Lied) and took part in many recordings.

His engagements for season 2018-2019: Tamino from Die Zauberflöte (Murten), Franz from Les Fées du Rhin by Offenbach (Tours), Camille from Die lustige Witwe (touring Belgium), Calisis from Les Boréades by Rameau (Dijon), Don José from La Tragédie de Carmen by Marius Constant (Compiègne). Concert-wise: Mozart's Requiem (at the Invalides in Paris), ​ Shell Shock - A Requiem of War by Nicholas Lens (Paris Philharmonie), Der Evangelist from Matthäus-Passion by Bach (Bern), Rossini's Stabat Mater (Saint-Etienne), Martini's Requiem and Berlioz' Messe Solennelle at the Radio France Festival (Montpellier).
