150J Schönberg: odes in film

To mark the 150th anniversary of Arnold Schönberg’s birth, the music world is preparing to honour his legacy. The Brussels Philharmonic is no exception: in October, we will be presenting two concerts featuring works by the Austro-Hungarian-American composer.

Fleeing the Nazi regime, Schönberg ended up in Los Angeles in the 1930s. However, he never went on to work for Hollywood, although his oeuvre has laid the foundations for some remarkable 21st-century soundtracks.
