For pianist Alexandra Dariescu, music is more than notes on a page – it’s a way to amplify unheard voices and connect worlds. As she joins Vlaams Radiokoor, the Brussels Philharmonic and Kazushi Ono for the season opener on September 26, she brings that mission to the stage with Nadia Boulanger’s deeply moving Fantaisie variée pour piano et orchestre.
We asked her to share some of the women who inspire her. The outcome is a bold mix that crosses genres and borders: from Björk to Clara Schumann, from minimalism to folk.
