Echoes in the Drongenhof Chapel

On 30 and 31 May, the Flemish Radio Choir, the Atanares Ensemble and Bart Van Reyn will be performing at the Drongenhof Chapel – which is also the temporary home of Berlinde De Bruyckere’s artwork ‘Honte, 2018–2019’. The driving force behind the concert is composer Jeroen D’hoe: he was asked to provide a musical response to the desecrated space. To this end, he is creating a new composition and reworking earlier pieces, interspersed with music by Arvo Pärt. Read on to discover how D’hoe gives voice to the void.
