Vocal Coaching for Rave Choir
Radio Choir mezzo-soprano Eva Goudie-Falckenbach is coaching the Rave Choir
18 September 2025
This Sunday, Eva Goudie-Falckenbach, an alto with the Flemish Radio Choir, is heading to the church on Sint-Gillisvoorplein for a vocal coaching session with the Brussels-based Ravekoor. Every week, the young choir gathers there to sing together.
The Ravekoor is anything but run-of-the-mill: “We’re quite different from other choirs because we also sing at street events, or at 5 o’clock in the morning in nightclubs,” says founder Thomas Bogaert. What they sing is very diverse: “Our repertoire ranges from Bach to our own compositions and lots of improvisation,” adds founder Mien Heyvaert. Their unconventional and inspiring approach is a powerful example, and a lovely reminder of the unifying power of music.
Through our Atelier programme, we at the Vlaams Radiokoor aim to create a nurturing environment for choral singers of all ages and backgrounds. Through workshops and masterclasses, coaching and training courses, group singing and open rehearsals, we aim to help new voices flourish and explore musical horizons together.
