In What We Trust
Six young people set off with a seedling in their backpack. In search of a place for the young tree, and a place for themselves. In What We Trust is about young people and meaning: "What do they still believe in? How do they deal with the future? How do they view the climate-changing world they are growing up in?
At the request of Ghent liaison group LARF!, Maud Vanhauwaert, together with filmmaker Bas Van Hoeck, portrays their quest. The Flemish Radio Choir and I SOLISTI provide the sountrack to their search for answers: to the tones of Anton Bruckner's Mass No. 2 in e and to new music by Frederik Neyrinck. Because where do we look for our meaning today when going to Mass seems to be wrong?
We talked about it with Maud Vanhauwaert.
