Scriabin: Le Poème du feu

Alexander Scriabin was an eccentric composer who saw himself as a saviour: his Art would create a new, better world. The sensory experience was central; only the conscious experience of as many stimuli as possible could bring humanity to ecstasy. With each symphony he went a step further, so that Le Poème du feu, as his fifth, became an overwhelmingly eclectic vision, in which music, mysticism and colour converge like a swirling tidal wave in a ritual of sound.

BEYOND THE SCORE

Nazanin Fakoor is an Iranian-German multidisciplinary artist and director, based in Brussels. Her installations and performances create worlds into which the viewer not only steps, but can also exert influence. In her work, she explores utopian possibilities at the intersection of recognition and alienation, aesthetics and social themes, reality and imagination. Through a sophisticated interplay of video, performance, installation, light, sound, movement and music, she creates immersive sensory experiences.
