The stunning images of resident photographers Liesbet Peremans, Marcel Lennartz and Wouter Van Vaerenbergh are visual translations of this season's productions. The presentation of these works of art takes place at our opening month photo expo.

become the owner of an art work

The innovative spirit of the Vlaams Radio Koor and the Brussels Philharmonic is expressed not only in their distinct projects, progressive approach or pioneering work in amongst others additional financing, but also in the approach to framing concert nights. For more than 10 years, orchestra and choir use the work of young Belgian photographers to translate productions' atmosphere, force or intimacy.

The reactions to the imagery have been more than positive: more and more people started to ask for posters to hang on their own walls! This year we decided to take it a step further: the stunning images of resident photographers Liesbet Peremans, Marcel Lennartz and Wouter Van Vaerenbergh that visually translate this season's productions will be presented as works of art during our opening month photo expo. And you become the owner of one of these art works!

benefit auction for UNHCR

During the opening month september, you can place a bid on several photos, during our concerts at Flagey as well as online. The highest bidder will be the proud owner of a unique photo reproduction.

Each highest bidder will moreover receive 2 VIP tickets for the concert For The Fallen on November 16 at Flagey. That night he or she will be given the signed art work by the photographer. The Vlaams Radio Koor and the Brussels Philharmonic will donate all auction proceeds to the UNHCR. Together with UNHCR, the choir and orchestra wish to draw attention to basic values such as tolerance and solidarity. The UNHCR links the music to reality, exhibiting a series of moving portraits of refugee children in Europe: the Dream Diaries show, in photos, stories and videos, that refugee children have had to leave behind everything except their hopes and dreams of the future.
